Ella Wilkinson

Service Coordinator

 

Hi I'm Ella and I'm this year's Service Coordinator. I have volunteered for Nightline since 2015 and have enjoyed being on exec as both Publicity Officer and General Secretary previously. When I'm not doing Nightline things, I also study Medicine and play some hockey.

 

Ella is responsible for the external communications and liaisions with the University of Nottingham Students' Union and the University of Nottingham. Along with Hannah, she is responsible for managing the committee and ensuring that the service runs smoothly!

Hannah Saunders

Support Coordinator

 

I have been a part of Nightline since training in Autumn 2016. I was previously on committee as Marketing Officer, and this year I am taking on the role of Support Coordinator along side the final year of my Medicine degree.

 

Hannah is responsible for the Welfare Contacts within Nightline. Along with Ella, she is responsible for managing the committee and ensuring that the service runs smoothly!

Freya Beevers-Cowling

General Secretary

 

Hi! I'm Freya and I have been involved in Nightline since Autumn 2016 as a publicity volunteer and began volunteering as a listener in Autumn 2017. Since then, I have undertaken a vast number of shifts, and will be undertaking the role of General Secretary alongside the final year of my Psychology degree.

 

Freya is responsible for taking minutes of our committee meetings, AGMs and EGMs, as well as writing the biannual reports of the committee.

Damani Kohli

Treasurer

 

Hi! I’m Damani and I am this year’s Treasurer. I have been involved with Nightline since Autumn 2016. I was also involved with committee last year as Training Officer. I am currently undertaking a degree in medicine.

 

Damani is responsible for Nightline's finances, liaising with our external funders as well as our Fundraising team.

Sam Baily

Information & Policy Officer

 

I’m Sam and I joined Nightline in the Autumn 2017 training cycle. Volunteering has made such a difference to my time at University and has allowed me to meet so many great people! I will be taking up the role of Information and Policy Officer alongside my Nutrition and Dietetics degree.

 

Sam is responsible for updating our policy and ensuring that we have up-to-date information available for our callers.

William Morley

Technical Support Officer

 

Hi I'm William, I have been part of Nightline since Spring 2018. I undertook a very short career as a lisening volenter before joining the committee in the role of Technical Officer. I am currently in the second year of my Ph.D in Theoretical Condenced Matter Physics.

 

William is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our IM, Skype, Text and Phone services, as well as fixing anything in the office that breaks!

James Hey

Rota Officer (Volunteers)

 

I have been involved with Nightline since Autumn 2015. I am part of the Rota team this year while studying for a PhD in Computer Science.

 

James and Samantha are responsible for keeping the rotas full, so that our lines can remain open. It's through their hard work that we're one of the only Nightlines in the country that hasn't had to close their lines in over 3 years!

Samantha Clarke

Rota Officer (Volunteers)

 

I've been volunteering with Nightline since I trained in Autumn 2017 and will be working as part of the Rota team whilst finishing my Psychology degree.

Hannah Deacon

Rota Officer (Training)

 

I joined Nightline in Autumn 2016, and I am a 3rd year medical student. I have since enjoyed becoming more involved in Nightline by training new volunteers and serving on committee as a Fundraising Officer.

 

Hannah is responsible for encouraging new volunteers to fill the rota and ensuring that they feel confident and able to become an experienced volunteer.

Ellen Bifani

Continuous and External Training Officer

 

Hi, my name’s Ellen and I am the External and continuous training officer this year. This will be my 2nd year volunteering for Nightline and I am so excited to see what the year brings!

 

Ellen is responsible for firstly keeping all our volunteers up to date with their training and secondly for organising active listening and mental health awareness training for other groups and societies. As well as providing refresher training throughout the year to ensure volunteers are always up to date.

Sophie McCluskey

Marketing Officer

 

Hi, I have been a part of Nightline since starting university and this is my third year on committee. I volunteered for Nightline Publicity and trained several volunteers. I am now taking on the role of Marketing Officer whilst completing a Natural Sciences degree.

 

Sophie is responsible for Nightline's branding and promoting the work of Nottingham Nightline online and on social media.

Emily Kirt

Social Secretary

 

I have been involved with Nightline since Spring 2017, and am now going into the third year of my Social Work degree. Going into the role as Social Sec, I am responsible for ensuring that listening and publicity volunteers are rewarded for all of their hard work by hosting a variety of social events throughout the year.

 

Emily is responsible for organising all socials for our listening and publicity volunteers, both new and current, giving everyone a chance to mingle and chat.

Kath Rowe

Training Officer

 

Hi, I'm Kath and I have been involved with Nightline since training in Autumn 2016. I have trained many listening volunteers and I am also part of the welfare team. I was previously on committee in the role of Rota Officer and am now volunteering as Training Officer whilst completing my History degree.

 

Kath and Louisa are responsible for the organisation, structure and content of our extensive training programme for volunteers.

Madi Jones

Fundraising Officer

 

Hi I’m Madi, I trained as a listening volunteer last Autumn (2017). Whilst finishing my Psychology degree, I will be taking on the role of Fundraising officer alongside Amy. I am looking forward to being more involved with Nightline and being on committee this year.

 

Madi and Amy are responsible for organising and running fundraising events for Nightline, and work closely with the Publicity Officers to raise awareness of the work Nightline does.

The Nightline Executive Committee are responsible for the day to day operations of the organisation itself, which includes training and supporting the 150 or so volunteers who take calls, answer IMs and respond to emails. They also manage our fantastic Publicity Team, who don't take calls, but help promote the organisation at the University of Nottingham. Each committee member has a slightly different set of responsibilities to ensure that Nightline functions smoothly!

Amy Jackson

Fundraising Officer

 

I have been involved with Nightline since Autumn 2017. I am taking on this role of Fundraising Officer whilst studying for my third year in Architecture.

 

Amy and Madi are responsible for organising and running fundraising events for Nightline, and work closely with the Publicity Officers to raise awareness of the work Nightline does.

Jack Robert Colborne- Flitton

Publicity and Fundraising Volunteer Officer

 

I joined Nightline in October 2017, I have trained listening volunteers and I am currently in the final year of my Psychology degree.

 

JR is responsible for organising Publicity and Fundraising Volunteers for events at the University of Nottingham and external events, alongside tracking volunteering hours and recruiting new volunteers.
