Welcome to the Nottingham Nightline website!
What is Nottingham Nightline?
Nightline is a volunteering organisation that provides a confidential and anonymous point of contact for students at the University of Nottingham 365 days a year. We're a listening and information service, run by students, for students.
At Nottingham Nightline we provide telephone, instant messenger, text message and email services, as well as running a PostSecret service.
How can I contact Nottingham Nightline?
You can contact us by phone, Instant Messenger (available here), Skype (audio only), text and anonymous email. All emails that we receive to firstname.lastname@example.org are anonymised, so we can't see your email address.
What can I talk to Nottingham Nightline about?
People contact us for many different reasons. Whether you're stressed about exams, having family or friendship problems, need a pizza number or simply want a chat, you can talk to us. We offer both a listening and information service. We're completely non-judgemental, and never give advice.
Who will I be speaking to?
You'll be talking to one of our highly trained student volunteer Nightliners. They'll allow you to talk freely, without judging you or giving their own opinion. Our listening volunteers are anonymous, so you can talk in confidence knowing that what you say will not be passed on.
Want to join us as a student listener? Go to our Volunteer page to find out about how you can get involved!
Our PostSecret service has been running since March 2012. Nottingham students can submit their secret, regret, confession or a happy moment that they would like to share. Upload your secrets here.
